Focus areas
After completing his studies, Mr Schönfelder first joined the family business Gesa as the person responsible for marketing and sales. Since 2015, he has been managing partner of the Gesa Hygiene Group, one of the leading companies in the field of health and cleanliness services in Germany. Since 2019, Mr Schönfelder has also been Managing Partner of Hypeconn GmbH, which specialises in IoT applications in hygiene and quality management.

In addition to his professional activities, Mr Schönfelder is an annual speaker at the Godmann School of Business for the courses Family Business, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Entrepreneurship. In 2020, he was appointed to the Business Senate. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for graduates and professors of economics. Jörg Schönfelder is the author of several scientific papers in the field of innovation management and an expert author in the areas of indoor air hygiene, clean room hygiene and hygienic prevention in industrial companies and public health. In addition to his business management training, Mr Schönfelder is a certified cleanroom technician (IHK), expert VDI 6022 Cat. A (hygiene in ventilation and air-conditioning systems).
