Prof. Simmert has more than 40 years of experience in banking and finance. In both the academic and practical spheres he is concerned with the subjects of corporate finance, financial management, capital market, medium-sized businesses and rating, as well as banks and insurance companies. He is the editor of the specialist magazines S-Privatkundenberatung (for 23 years) and S-Firmenberatung (for 18 years), published by Deutscher Sparkassen Verlag GmbH, Stuttgart, and regularly publishes specialist books and articles on topics relating to SMEs, M&A and finance.
